This project is still under devellopment, but was made public in a conference.
An embrionic version of a possible video archive was publicly presented in a conference on 25th March at TEA in Spain, in the context of it´s new video art program. TEA has a video art program called “El quarto oscuro” [The dark room] where is presenting a selection of video art pieces from collections of the most important spanish museums.
MEIAC participated in “El quarto oscuro” with a selection of video art pieces from it´ss collection curated by António Franco and Inês Moreira. It was screened from 24th March – 26th April 2009 as the inaugural project for “El quarto oscuro”. The sequence included: O Homen Imparticulado and Paramagnetismo, both by João Maria Gusmão-Pedro Paiva; Instrumental Version, by João Onofre; El ring, by Julián Alvarez; On Translation: listening, by Antoni Muntadas; Last Night Dikr, by Toni Serra; Epilogue, by Alfredo Jaar; Destierro, by Tania Bruguera; The Iberoamerican Legend, by Martín Sastre; Reversed Mirror, by Eduardo Kac; and Sangue, by Iván Marino.
