2013 was a year of very much writing. Along the PhD thesis completion I could contribute to different publications. It is a wonderful thing to be part of many, and sometimes so dissimilar, discussions. amidst the most relevant topics, there is the debate around Lisbon Architecture Triennale.
I had the opportunity to write a trilogy of critical essays on www.trienaldelisboa.com, which was published in three different magazines, in two languages: english webzine urbanista.org, portuguese printed magazine ARQA www.revarqa.com, and portuguese webzine www.artecapital.net.
Besides these three, I was invited by curator Mariana Pestana to contribute with an essay to her e-book, and handed a reflection on my curatorial project Aftermath and Resonance!
The text is, still, waiting for publication and I am eager to read the book. It´s announced here.
[CONECTIVIDADE DE UM JOVEM CORPO DE ARQUITECTOS]
Visitar os eventos dos primeiros cinco dias da Trienal de Arquitectura de Lisboa (11-15 de Setembro), isto é, participar nos seus programas, discutir e partilhar ideias com os vários autores e convidados, foi uma montanha russa de experiências que levou semanas a digerir.
Nos primeiros dias assistiu-se a um débito em directo de opiniões, de críticas e de algumas fúrias, por entre uma catadupa de textos e de imagens em blogs, revistas e de contactos em redes sociais, com uma velocidade de disseminação que espelha a escala verdadeiramente internacional do evento e que, também por isso, desperta uma voracidade de informação.

Tanto Mar pretende ser um espaço no qual se iniciará o registo de trabalhos de portugueses fora de Portugal que, com intervenções no ambiente construído, procuram ter uma atitude transformadora a partir das questões sociais que se colocam no momento e espaço em que são construídas. Praticamente desconhecidos em Portugal e dispersos por todo o mundo, estes criadores portugueses, que operam no centro das grandes questões que o presente nos coloca, só constituirão uma massa crítica útil ao país se o seu trabalho for registado, reconhecido e discutido também em Portugal. É isso que nos propomos iniciar.

Petit CABANON (private version for Wyspa) exhibited at Labour and Leisure Exhibition, in the context of Alternativa Visual Art Festival 2012, curated by Aneta Szylak at Hall 90B, Wyspa Institute of Art in Gdansk, Poland. The physical installation consists of the reconstruction of the two sheds that Le Corbusier had in his garden: CABANON + the Work Shed. The two buildings were made of cardboard bricks, in a playful construction. The sounds cape inside both volumes would reproduce the atmospheres and summer conversations by Le Corbusier, Eileen Gray and their friends, as an evocation. http://www.alternativa.org.pl/

Opening on the 25th May 2011 @ Mies and on the 26th @ Fira.
We´ll be part of the project “Art for Living” by Lab´Bel, at Mies Van Der Rohe Pavillion and at Swab Art Fair.
Besides the quality and the prestige of such venues, it is a wonderful feeling getting back to this exquisite building where I spent so much time during the Erasmus Program at ETSAB, and the Metropolis Master at CCCB. In those days, a very precise program of conferences and talks happen in the summer´s evenings, and students and professionals gathered around the lake attending the talks. Hope to revive that atmosphere.
